ZERO LEVEL: ARTICULATING ELEMENT OF COLLECTIVE SPACES
A case study in the 20 de Julio neighborhood
In the research project, the concept that María Rubert proposes about Cota Cero is proposed as a topic of discussion, deriving a development of the research around this term, also being the collective spaces, defined by Solá-Morales, essential to understand the public-private relationship. That is why the object of study, located in the neighborhood of July 20 in the city of Bogotá, will serve as an element to deepen, explain and apply this concept as a means for the development and solution of the proposal. This is how a community center is projected, which allows the consolidation of a system of facilities in the neighborhood of which the church of the Divine Child is part, but which is currently completely dismantled. For this, both urban and architectural strategies were developed, two relations from the project regarding the important facilities that surround it, the Transmilenio portal and the market place, and finally, for an articulation of the project, it is decided implement a meaningful journey for the Salesian community, which allows demonstrating the functionality of ground zero.

Taking into account the above, the project seeks that the proposal is an example of the application and intervention in the city with the development of ground zero as the basis for any project,
that encourages the search for new forms of occupation in a city, which requires increasing the building supply while generating new collective spaces for the integrity of the
people with their environment.
